Inserso supports IAC on Federal Shared Services White Paper

Annandale, VA – February 7th, 2008 - Inserso, an award-winning provider of application development and IT Staff Augmentation services to the federal government and Fortune 1000, today announced its role in supporting The Industry Advisory Council’s  (IAC) Collaboration & Transformation Shared Interest Group’s Best Practices Committee’s to release its white paper entitled, “Lessons Learned from the Government to Government Shared Services Environment.” Inserso’s CEO, Mr. Hamid Moinamin, served as the Chairperson of the Best Practices Committee as well as the chairperson of the study.

This Paper outlines best practices in agency-to-agency relationships in a shared services environment.  The study grew out of a desire to understand how federal agencies prepare for and engage in shared services e-government initiatives for selected lines of business.  This paper highlights the best practices that service providers and service acquirers have used to enhance their relationships.

Collaboration & Transformation SIG Chair Andrew McLauchlin says, “Providing or participating in shared services is good for the government and good for the American taxpayers.  While there may be no single best way to do any part of the process, there are best practices.  This paper does a good job pointing out the best practices in such a way that agencies can pick and choose tactics and themes that apply to them and in turn develop their own best practices to overcome challenges.”

Mr. Moinamin further emphasizes, “The shared services environment is still in its infancy.  Many agencies have faced and overcome challenges.  The five themes we discovered are just the beginning; as the shared services environment evolves, so do the best practices.  We encourage all agencies that foresee involvement in the shared services environment to read this paper and learn from their peers.”
